Easter Wishes
This is a sacred datura flower, aka jimson weed, which grows wild here in the desert. It was made famous by Georgia O'Keefe, was used by Carlos Castenada for his 'travels', and is toxic to livestock. It has lush soft leaves and a large, voluptuous flower - and looks out of place compared to its more prickly neighbors.
Another of the many abundant examples that nature gives us to bloom where we are planted.
